According to Nintendo boss Shuntaro Furukawa, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate sole some-more than 5 million copies worldwide after only one week on sale.

The news comes from a brief talk in Japanese journal Nikkan Kogyo Shimbun now (thanks, Dr. Serkan Toto). In this interview, Furukawa common Smash Ultimate’s considerable feat alongside a matter confirming that a Switch has seen a fastest program sales so distant in Nintendo home console history.

It was recently reliable that a diversion has now shifted some-more than 2.6 million earthy copies in Japan alone (with 1.2 million of those entrance from only that launch week), and Nintendo also suggested that it had reached 3 million sales in a US in only eleven days. The 5 million tellurian week-one sum was to be approaching interjection to all of this information, though it’s still good to have acknowledgment possibly way.

Elsewhere, Furukawa also confirms that Switch program sales started to collect adult movement in Nov of final year (which, again, is to be approaching as Nov saw a recover of Pokémon: Let’s Go), and also remarkable that a Switch is now offering in 60 countries.

Would we have ever likely that Smash Ultimate would sell 5 million copies in one week? Do we consider a diversion will continue to expostulate Switch sales over a subsequent few years? Let us know your thoughts in a comments.
