Rumour: Did Reggie Just Give Us Our First Glimpse At A New Retro Studios Project?

Hold on to your Diddy Kong Nintendo hats, folks. It’s Retro Studios conjecture time!

Early this morning, we common with we a twitter from ex-Nintendo of America President, Reggie Fils-Aimé. The twitter gave us a demeanour during some of his retirement gifts, that enclosed a Virtual Boy, a poetic notebook, and a hulk cosmetic bottom (yeah, seriously) yet it also featured a beautiful square of design from Retro Studios.

You can see it for yourself in a picture above – it facilities Donkey Kong, Diddy Kong and Dixie Kong, Samus and several Metroids, and something else conveniently vaporous by a Mario statue. Now, many of these characters are from Nintendo games worked on by Retro Studios – we substantially know that Retro grown games like Metroid Prime and Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze – yet what is this ‘something else’?

A robotic-looking palm is clearly visible, nonetheless it doesn’t demeanour utterly like anything we’ve seen in prior games, and if we demeanour unequivocally closely underneath Samus’ blaster, we can also see what appears to be some kind of drudge mask. Perhaps it’s someone wearing a VR visor? In all honesty, we’ve no thought what it is, yet it positively seems like it could be something that hasn’t been announced only yet.

Things get even some-more interesting, though, when we realize a stress of a twitter below. Enrique Rivera is a judgment artist during Retro Studios, and here he is, accidentally winking during a picture being teased to a world. It’s got to be something new, hasn’t it?

Of course, we know that Retro Studios has now taken over a growth of Metroid Prime 4, yet we’re expected not alone in meditative that a group contingency have been operative on something else over a years, too.

Is this it? Let us know what we consider in a comments below.
