Plot twist: a MacBook Air is still alive

The MacBook Air only won’t die. While Apple introduced a thinner, lighter MacBook Pro final year, people still wish a new MacBook Air. The MacBook Pro is roughly as complicated as a 13-inch MacBook Air, though it’s still some-more expensive. That’s because business still adore a MacBook Air.

Instead of murdering a MacBook Air altogether, Apple is gripping it around as it still sells fine. Even better, a laptop is receiving a improved CPU. There’s a singular line about a MacBook Air in Apple’s press release: “Apple currently also updated a 13-inch MacBook Air with a 1.8 GHz processor.”

Aaaaand… that’s it. Don’t design a retina display, don’t design some-more storage or RAM. The MacBook Air is clearly on life support. It doesn’t even get Intel’s Kaby Lake processors.

If that’s not adequate for you, Apple cut a cost on a entry-level 13-inch MacBook Pro but a Touch Bar. It now costs $1,299 instead of $1,499, creation it a small bit some-more tantalizing to skip a MacBook Air altogether.
