Nintendo is a perfectionist though really singular publisher according to MercurySteam’s studio head, and while they have worked with other large publishers in a past as good – operative with Nintendo is something opposite entirely.

“Nintendo is a one-of-a-kind publisher that make one-of-a-kind games”, Alvarez said. “They’re special. They are unique. They caring about games. we am not exaggerating when we tell we that after dual years, 80 or 90% of all a conversations we’ve had were about things that gamers caring about. Only a remaining 10 or 20% were about business or common edition stuff. That ratio is singular to Nintendo. When we understanding with them during a tighten distance, we know because they are who they are. I’m not going to distortion to you; they are intensely demanding. They need a really best constantly, all a time, and beyond. But it’s been a good experience.”

“We’ve worked in a past with other publishers, with Codemasters, with Konami, and they were really opposite experiences. We had a good knowledge with Konami, though Nintendo is another thing. There are many, many Nintendo fans who don’t like any other games solely for their games. Now we entirely know because that is.

Alvarez added, “it has been a pleasure, we have learnt a lot. Honestly, they have done us a improved developer.”

Metroid: Samus Returns is slated for a recover on a Nintendo 3DS after this week. MercurySteam’s other arriving title, Raiders of a Broken Planet, is slated for a recover on Sep 22 on PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
