Google launches SOS Alerts in Search and Maps to assistance the users during a crisis

Google is rising a new underline for both Search and Maps currently that is meant to give a users improved information when a healthy disaster or other predicament hits their area. These new supposed “SOS Alerts” will now prominently underline during a tip of a company’s hunt formula and in Maps when a user looks for information about an occurrence or an influenced area.

The association worked with a series of agencies, including a Red Cross, a Federal Emergency Management Agency, a Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration and many others to source this information.

In Search, Google will uncover an overview of a situation, maps, applicable news stories, puncture phone numbers (if available), websites and other applicable information. If we are tighten to an area where a disaster has struck, Google might also send we notifications that approach we to all of this information.

In Maps, Google will also cocktail adult this information when relevant. Like in a hunt results, Maps will uncover information about a eventuality and applicable phone numbers and sites. In addition, a map will also uncover real-time updates about highway closures and movement updates.

This new underline is entrance to Search on a desktop, mobile web and a Google apps for Android and iOS, as good as Google Maps for mobile.

SOS Alerts joins Google’s existent portfolio of services for responding to crises, including Google Person Finder, Google Crisis Map and Google Public Alerts.
