Delta to offer giveaway in-flight use of WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger and iMessage

Starting Oct 1, passengers on many Delta will have giveaway entrance to WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger and iMessage. To entrance a feature, a newcomer will have to record into Delta’s in-flight wifi portal powered by Gogo. This is initial time an airline has offering such a use via a fleet.

Traditional SMS messages will not work. Only a aforementioned mobile messaging services are upheld during launch and users will not be means to send videos or pictures. Passengers are, thankfully, not means to use this use to live tide from their flight.

I fly a lot and this is a poignant giveaway use to me. Over large flights, we purchased a dear Gogo internet package only to use iMessage. Most of a time in a moody we don’t wish to check my email or Slack or Twitter. When drifting we wish some me time, though sometimes, it’s also good to only discuss with some friends and now that can be finished for free.

Even before this, there was some hacks and workarounds to let users entrance these services but paying. Not that I’m a arrange of man to feat such loopholes.
